Breaking boundaries, rethinking health: Trinational Health Tech Days
On November 13–14, 2025, the Trinational Health Tech Days will take place in Basel, Switzerland. This two-day event brings together startups, investors, corporates, and researchers from the Upper Rhine region to collaboratively shape the future of biotech, medtech, and digital health. Nina Lammers, director of scientific communication & medical education at Pfizer, will explore how virtual worlds are transforming business models.
The Trinational Health Tech Days aim to strengthen international collaboration in biotechnology, medical technology, and digital health, foster innovation and exchange, and highlight new investment opportunities. Now in its sixth edition, the event is organized by BadenCampus, arise, Life Science Accelerator Baden-Württemberg, Universität Basel and the French initiative Quest for Health. It offers a unique platform for startups, corporates, and investors to connect and gain insights into the latest developments in healthcare.
Pfizer @ Trinational Health Tech Days: New paths to enhanced patient journeys
In an interactive workshop, Nina Lammers (Pfizer), Matthias Warken (global co-lead at B. Braun), and Dennis Plachta (CTO and co-founder of neuroloop) will discuss virtual worlds in healthcare, venture clienting in hospitals, and a novel implant for selective vagus nerve stimulation. The speakers will share hands-on experiences and practical insights into successful collaborations between startups and corporates—including key dos and don’ts.
Peter Neske will also be on-site, offering first-hand insights from his role as innovation lead at the Pfizer Healthcare Hub Freiburg, particularly on Pfizer’s partnerships with startups.

Sustainability, innovation & net Zero: Sustainability Forum 2025
On November 6, 2025, the innovation hub Black Forest Innovation, together with Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, invites you to the Sustainability Forum. This event is the leading platform for sustainable technologies in Southern Germany, bringing together experts and changemakers from academia, industry, politics, and civil society. Oana Stürz, Innovation Engineer at the Pfizer Healthcare Hub Freiburg, will join Ilona Maier, Open Innovation Manager at Offenburg University, in a panel discussion exploring the importance of innovation and sustainability for manufacturing companies.

Black Forest Innovation is a regional innovation hub located in the Southern Upper Rhine area. Pfizer Patient Dialogue 2025: Together towards better care
On September 23, representatives from patient organizations, science, medicine, and health policy will come together to discuss current healthcare topics. This year’s Patient Dialogue will focus on key issues such as patient safety, home care, and the digital transformation of medicine. The event is open to everyone and will be streamed live.
On Tuesday, September 23, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Pfizer will host its annual Patient Dialogue, bringing together patients and the pharmaceutical industry. Representatives from patient organizations across various medical fields, along with guests from science, medicine, and health policy, will discuss current topics in healthcare, research, and patient care.
A key goal of the event is to strengthen collaborative partnerships with patient organizations and work together to improve healthcare in Germany. The perspectives of those affected are to be included early in the development and communication of health solutions.
