THE startup conference for the health tech industry: Bits & Pretzels on June 20/21
Over 2,500 expected visitors, around 400 investors, top-class speakers, master classes, pitches, awards, curated matchmaking and keynotes and discussions on five stages on the challenges, opportunities and trends of digital technologies for the healthcare industry: Bits & Pretzels HealthTech will take place from June 20 to 21 in Munich - we from Pfizer Healthcare Hub will be there!
"We want to establish the hottest startup conference in the world with Bits & Pretzels!" (Source: magazin.venturate.com, May 13, 2015) declared Bernd Storm, Felix Haas and Andreas Bruckschlögl as they entered the second round with their startup conference in 2015. While Bits & Pretzels in September is aimed at startups from all industries, Bits & Pretzels HealthTech in June focuses on health technology and is aimed at health tech founders, pharmaceutical and tech giants, medical technicians and political decision makers. Visitors can look forward to a program tailored to the healthcare industry and the unique opportunity to make valuable contacts, network and gain inspiration.

- Startup Exhibition: Here, startups with fewer than 100 employees can present themselves, network, make new contacts and attract investors.
- Lectures and Panel Discussions: Top-class founders and the most important players in the European healthtech industry will speak and discuss the future of digital health on five stages. Topics include: Synergies between startups and corporates, the hospital of the future, strategies for bringing digital tools to market or the financing of health technologies. The Pfizer Healthcare Hub Berlin supports the Bits & Pretzels HealthTech conference as a partner. Maja Hoock, Innovation Lead, Thorsten Mintel, Director Strategic Innovation and Paulina Achter, Jr. Manager Innovation Engagement, will be live on site with a booth. Together with Nora Blum, CEO of Selfapy, they will also present their learnings from Pfizer's first DiGA collaboration in a masterclass on June 20: Selfapy's Online Course in Chronic Pain. Startups will learn when partnerships with pharmaceutical companies come into question, what types of cooperation exist, and how to jointly master the approval process for a DiGA.

Heidelberg University's first IMPACT DAY is all about knowledge and technology transfer. As a space for encounters, the IMPACT DAY offers the opportunity to be inspired, establish new contacts, socialize and exchange ideas. The diversity of Heidelberg University is reflected in the transfer, from the latest inventions to social innovations. Let yourself be inspired!
How can the relevance of research be utilized for society, the economy and politics? How can impact be transferred from within the university to the outside world? The IMPACT DAY will take place for the first time on 11 May 2023 and will consist of a market of opportunities, the IMPACT FAIR, and the final of the hei_INNOVATION ideas competition, where innovation prizes will be awarded in three categories.

- 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Final of the hei_INNOVATION ideas competition with award ceremony, keynote and panel discussion

IMPACT FAIR
At IMPACT FAIR, not only the idea generators of the hei_INNOVATION Ideas Competition 2023 will present their transfer, impact and start-up ideas, but also transfer projects by members of the university from all disciplines, start-ups and spin-offs that have emerged from the university, as well as institutions of Heidelberg University and its partners that promote the transfer of knowledge and technologies in Heidelberg.
Final of the HEI_INNOVATION Ideas Competition
Starting at 5 p.m., an evening event will be held to select the best ideas from the hei_INNOVATION ideas competition, which the university's transfer agency launched for the first time in winter 2022. As part of this first call for proposals, 48 ideas were submitted, of which the three best ideas in each of the categories "Social Innovation", "Science and Tech Innovation" and "Business Innovation" will be presented once again by the idea provider at the evening event. The best idea in each category will receive an innovation prize with prize money of €5,000.
