For startups und health insurers: Insuring Digital Health on September 15
The matchmaking event "Insuring Digital Health" connects important players of the healthcare sector: health insurance companies, insurance companies, patient organizations, service providers with startups that develop and offer digital health solutions. Startups can present themselves and their approaches to insurance companies and health insurers and then explore the possibilities of further collaboration in one-on-one sessions. The goal is to integrate the startups' innovative solutions in the field of Digital Health into the service portfolio of health insurance companies.
The digitalisation of European healthcare is advancing at an increasing pace in doctors' practices, telehealth platforms and hospital management. Insurers are also increasingly recognising the potential of new digital solutions to make access to treatment more targeted and easier for patients. In contrast, digital health start-ups are faced with the task of meeting patient needs and system requirements during development - especially with regard to reimbursement systems.
The matchmaking event with speed dating session is organized by Health in Innovation and the 5-HT Digital Hub for Chemistry & Health. For the fourth consecutive year, the event will provide a platform to connect the healthcare sector: on one side, health insurance companies, insurance companies, patient organizations, service providers, and on the other, startups developing and offering Digital Health solutions. In 2022, the event "Insuring Digital Health" gathers patient solutions that develop new approaches to improve diagnosis, treatment and mediation through the sensitive use of available databases, technological devices and algorithms. Startups that already have Digital Health solutions with a working prototype and proof-of-concept in this area can present themselves and their approaches to insurance companies and health insurers, and then explore opportunities for further collaboration in one-on-one sessions.
The goal is to integrate the startups' innovative solutions in the field of digital health into the service portfolio of health insurance companies.
What's in it for Startups?
The event with pitches and subsequent speed-dating sessions is the optimal setting to present new solution approaches and to get to know the needs of the providers in a practical way. Startups can present themselves and their services to insurance companies, health insurers and representatives from the healthcare sector and then explore the possibilities of further cooperation in individual sessions. Exclusive breakout rooms for speed dating sessions between health insurers and startups will be available, as well as the foyer for lecture followed by discussion and One2One matchmaking opportunities.
