As a platform for medical innovations, the Medical Innovations Incubator (MII) connects everyone interested in innovations in the field of medical life science. Quality management according to ISO 1348
At the next 4C Close-up webinar you will learn how Dr. Ramona Samba (CEO) and Niko Mangold (RA) from the startup sync2brain built their QMS according to ISO 13485. They provide insights into scope, manual and SOPs. Together with MII startup coach Dr. Henrike Stutzki, it will be discussed how regulatory requirements can be met and how good readability can be achieved in everyday life.

How innovation comes to medicine: Keynote speeches and panel discussion on November 3
How do findings from research come into practice in the healthcare industry? What is the potential of personalized medicine? And what activities are there in the Freiburg area that promote this translation? As part of the travelling exhibition "Gemeinsam für gesünder", which will make a stop in Freiburg on 3 November, the event "Translation rethought: How does innovation get into medicine?" will take place at the University Hospital Freiburg with keynote speeches and panel discussion.
The travelling exhibition "Together for healthier"
What challenges will the healthcare system of the future face? What role does digitalization play and how is Baden-Württemberg working to ensure that all citizens benefit from medical progress? The travelling exhibition of the Forum Gesundheitsstandort Baden-Württemberg provides answers to these questions: The aim of the exhibition is to bring information about innovative approaches in health care to citizens. On 3 November, the exhibition will stop off at Freiburg Central Station. To kick off the exhibition, an event with keynote speeches and a panel discussion on the topic: "Translation rethought: How does innovation get into medicine?" will take place at the University Medical Center Freiburg. The invited experts will talk about how new therapies reach patients faster, how digitization helps to conduct clinical trials, how the training of physicians is constantly being improved and how new ideas from research and production come into practice via start-ups and industry.
Meet the Hub-Team
We support Pfizer Healthcare Hubs in the translation process of research and practice through cocreation: We offer startups and tech companies the opportunity to use the resources of a global pharmaceutical company to optimize their solutions, scale them or establish them on the market. Peter Neske, Innovation Lead at the Freiburg Hub, will report on why the model of cocreation between innovators and an established pharmaceutical company has proven itself for the translation process from research into application and will bring the perspective of the Pfizer Healthcare Hub as an interface between innovators and the pharmaceutical industry to the podium. We look forward to an inspiring exchange!

Innovation through ecosystem: DIGA-Event on October 26
This event brings together experts from different fields and countries to give information and answer questions to make the business idea successful and to drive great solutions for patients in Germany. Thorsten Mintel, Director Customer Operations at Pfizer will be talking about Pfizer's collaboration with Alex Therapeutics.
The paticipants will talk about examples from the possible "fast track" for startups in Germany to get listed for reimbursable applications. And what's about the next step for founders, e.g. with potential business partners? Digitization creates the future: The Hightech Summit 2022 from November 7 to 10
The Hightech Summit is dedicated to current technology and digitization trends with a focus on the sustainable implementation of digital transformation – this year under the motto "Digitalization creates a future – with new mentalities, technologies and business models". The Hightech Summit brings together companies, start-ups, investors and municipalities and thus represents a platform for inspiration and exchange.
The Hightech Summit is the summit meeting of the high-tech industry in Baden-Württemberg. The event, which is organized by bwcon, has been bringing together up to 1,000 guests since 2015. Decision-makers from Baden-Württemberg companies, from innovation and transformation departments, business development and venturing, from banks and municipalities come together at this event. The aim of the event is to present the status quo in terms of digitization and to show ways in which this can succeed.
